ABOUT TIM BEARD
TIM BEARD has over three decades of experience in the public and private sectors. He served on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps as an infantry officer, attaining the grade of captain. Tim served in various command and staff positions at the battalion, company, and platoon levels, including two separate company commands.
Additionally, he was selected as the Aide-de-Camp for a Two-Star Marine Corps commanding general. While assigned to the Fleet Marine Force (FMF), Tim deployed to seventeen countries in Europe, Latin America, and Africa.
Tim was recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) into the Directorate of Operations (Clandestine Service). After completing arduous training as an operations officer, Tim conducted and managed extremely sensitive clandestine operations around the globe for the U.S. Government, including overseas postings to multiple countries in Asia and the Middle East. Over the course of his CIA career, Tim developed deep expertise in sophisticated intelligence operations, covert action, counterterrorism, counterintelligence, cybersecurity, risk assessment and mitigation, crisis management, and working in high-threat environments.
After retiring from CIA, Tim founded a global intelligence and risk mitigation consulting company, assisting clients in achieving strategic and tactical objectives in high-pressure environments under complex circumstances. He has helped clients to create a competitive advantage by driving decision-making and facilitating business opportunities.
Over the course of his life, Tim has lived in ten states in diverse regions across the United States. This varied background has provided a broad and unique understanding of the cultures and values that exist across this vast nation. Tim has honed his everyday security skills through his extensive life experiences in the United States and while living and working abroad in advanced and developing nations, as well as extremely dangerous war zones. In addition to living in numerous locales, Tim has travelled broadly in the United States and overseas.
Tim earned a Master of International Policy and Practice from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Auburn University.
